Nastro
Nastro is a lightweight, skinnable desktop music player. It plays the audio files on your computer, with no account, no cloud and no telemetry.
What it is
Three panels, the player, a 10-band equalizer and the playlist, dock together with magnetic snapping: drag one near another and it snaps to its edge, and the group moves as one. The look of all three is a skin, a small text file you can change or replace.
- Local first. It plays files from your disk. Nothing leaves your machine, and there is nothing to sign in to.
- Skinnable. Four built-in skins (Silver, Graphite, Porcelain and Nebula), your own skins in a plain
skin.tomlfile, and support for classic skins is planned. See Skins. - Light. A native Rust application, not a web page in a window. An idle player does no work.
- Open source under the Apache License 2.0.
Nastro is in early development. Linux comes first, and the Windows and macOS builds are not verified yet.
